Roffey FC are delighted to announce Naim Rouane as First Team Manager from the end of this season. Naim has a distinctive style of play and an impressive track record in non-league football, including a top place finish with Lancing FC during the curtailed 2019/20 season and building a strong and stylish Haywards Heath FC side.
Naim to lead the Boar’s charge from May!
Negotiations, which were initiated by Jack Munday, started some weeks ago. After revealing all of our plans for the ground share with Horsham FC next season, and the prospects for our own new stadium, it was clear to Naim and us that he is ideally placed to join us on this journey.
Naim commented “When I was asked by Jack to sit down with Phil Gibbs, the Chairman, and hear the club’s vision for the coming years, it was immediately clear, through the drive and enthusiasm Phil showed, that this is a project that aligns with my own ambitions, and will allow me to implement my football ideas and the standards I need to achieve them.
“It’s never been my strategy to simply take any opportunity, it has to be the right one.
“With the ground share agreement in place with Horsham, a new ground in development, and with the support of the Roffey FC board, I’m confident that together we can achieve great things.
“A special mention to Jack: his three year tenure at Roffey has laid strong foundations that will enable the club to continue to grow. The humility, time, effort and care he has shown over the last few weeks in bringing everything together has been admirable, and it speaks volumes about his affinity and commitment to the club. Having someone like him around, in his new commercial role, will help make the transition seamless”
We are excited to have Naim on board as we look ahead to next season. Chairman Phil Gibbs said “We need to push the club forward if we are going to take full advantage of the opportunities of the superb new facilities which are being presented to us over the coming years. We are really delighted that Naim is joining us and will be leading the 1st team Boars on this journey. Naim will be a hard task master, but we are ready for this challenge and it will be exciting to witness!”
We look forward to welcoming Naim into the Boar Pit next season.
